McGrath blow for Waterford
McGrath blow for Waterford
Jun 16, 2009
Tuesday, June 16
Knee surgery will see Waterford without the services of veteran Ken McGrath for up to six weeks.
McGrath carried the injury into the weekend's game against Limerick but was withdrawn by manager Davy Fitzgerald before the full-time whistle.
The Mount Sion man is expected to have the operation later this week and is due to be sidelined until the end of July as a result.
With McGrath now ruled out of the Munster Championship replay against Limerick at a very minimum, Fitzgerald has also had to digest the news that wing-back Aidan Kearney is a doubt for Saturday's second clash having been unable to take his place in the team for the game against The Treaty County on Sunday.
